BILL WELD AND THE FUTURE OF THE GOP: NATIONAL
As the 2020 elections approach, more candidates enter the race. Mostly Democrats, but there are others who defy expectations. One of them, a man that is seemingly getting a lot of press, is Bill Weld. He is an experienced lawyer and former governor of Massachusetts. The only trouble is, the man is facing Goliath. Donald J. Trump owns the Republican Party at the moment, he is truly an elephant. Big, sluggish and too powerful. Bill Weld however is a man slightly younger than Trump and a man with more street smarts than him. He is also much more in touch with the core of the Republican Party. I swing to the left when it comes to political affiliation but I must admire Weld's determination.
